[There's a delivery for one Garnet Gneiss today. A bouquet of flowers, some fancy ass chocolate, and a little jewellery box. Inside the box is a gold pendant — a keytar with garnet inlays.]

[He has no idea when her birthday is, so he kinda has to go all out for Mother's Day.]

[There's a little card inside too; it reads "Try to take it easy today, okay? —T"]

She might be knocking on your door, some time later in the day.]

[Somehow he wasn't expecting her to come over, and Terry answers the door with all the grace of someone who was planning to spend the day alone in their room in the dark. He has a mug of coffee in his hands and is wearing his biggest, coziest hoodie. Also he looks totally surprised to see Garnet.]

Garnet-- hey. [Uh...] Are you okay?

Of course I am.

[She smiles at him, seemingly idly fingering the pendant around her neck.]

Thank you, by the way!

Oh-- You're wearing it!

[His eyes light up when he realises, and he immediately ducks his head to try and maintain a little cool.]
